As an Citizen Journalist for OhmyNews International, I will be writing a series of articles looking at the future of humanity, but from my own personal point of view as a citizen and how they will affect me personally.

http://english.ohmynews.com

Is where the articles will be published. I will be looking a four aspects of the future and how they could affect me as a Londoner:

1) Rising Sea Levels.
2) A future without oil.
3) China and India's emergence.
4) The Future of the Internet.

  • I don't believe the sea level will rise and it will actually decrease in some places. I keep thinking of the north pole as ice melting in a cup of ice water that lowers the water level after the ice melts.

We will all definitely have to change our lifestyles around the world to survive with the continually rising oil/gasoline prices.

  • as a londoner (living at sea level) i really hope you're right.

  • I look forward to your thoughts. I am not sure about the sea level rise thing. I just don't see the Day after scenario happening.

  • My link is with the Maldives, Vanatu etc. Like those islands, London is also at Sea Level. If they are going under, then so are we.
