Highlights of the Galaxy Foods 300 from Hickory.

Ed Berrier (#77) tries to hold off the field in a 14 lap dash to the finish.
The power is back in full at the track, so all cameras are working once again.

Matt Kenseth (#17) only has high gear and drops from his second position on the restart.

Berrier drives away and wins his first ever NASCAR Busch Series race, the first ever Busch race at Hickory to be won by a Ford.
This would also be the last NASCAR Busch Series race held at Hickory.

  • Isnt Hickory a 1/4 mile?

  • @mattador2792 - according to Wiki, its 0.363 miles, so a tick over 1/3 mile

  • didn't know Ed Berrier actually won a Busch race. Most of the time I recall him racing in the Melling car and Junie Donlavey's Fords.

  • i think Ed drove the Cup car in 1999 and/or 2000, my memory is a bit hazy on that detail

  • This video makes me wonder what Ed Barrier is doing these days?

  • I was told that he's the team manager for the #77 Cardinal Motorsports entry of Peyton Sellers in the Nationwide Series.

  • 0:52 ... 13 years later and Kenseth is still driving the 17.... YESSS!

  • @wildbeemer Ed drove for Junie Donlavey. I remember they had Hills Bros Coffee as a sponsor and it was a awesome paint scheme. Last I heard of Ed he was helping out up and comer Peyton Sellers.

  • nascar ruined this series they need to bring back the real short tracks like hickory and south boston

  • @vidEvWill I didn't even know Ed Berrier existed

  • Hermie Sadler-the current SPEED Channel commentator!

  • Thanks for posting this one... I hadn't seen it since the day it happened, and I remember surprisingly well!
