JFK in Elgin, Illinois

When John Kennedy stopped in Elgin, Illinois in 1960 my grandfather brought his movie camera and filmed it.

I was, like, two years old, if that at the time this film was shot.

My family lived on Hinsdell Pl. then, near downtown.

Too bad Elgin could never get a presidential candidate to come here now. Wouldn't be safe. Heck, it's not safe for regular people let alone a candidate.
