@jkullander ha ha! i didn't know other people called it that too! I've rarely use gazzoni or the switch to escape back control. when they have their hooks in its a totally different scenario. this good drill to help people develop their scrambling abilities.

You could apply whats known as a "Gazzoni" in freestyle wrestling. So even if your opponent reaches over top you can still escape, because thats where you want him to pull off the move.

This very very similar to a drill/technique found in amateur freestyle wrestling.

growing up I idolized the gracie family but I am a broad shouldered man at about 5 foot 9 so I decided on judo but recently I have been studying and these drills are great at least to help with my flexibility keep me limber and keep my submissions on point
so sprawling your legs forward like this when someone has a body lock from the back, the guy throws you to the side while youre off balance and you get mounted or sidecontrolled like a champ?? sounds like no bueno son
