Camel performing (playback) on German TV show. Not only bad weather, also bad VHS source as you can see. Song features Chris Rainbow on lead vocals and Dutch keyboard player Ton Scherpenzeel (Kayak).

  • lol they laugh when drummer fails to playback the song lol Camel

  • @gregs1104 ok then i will.

  • @skyrhymer Some of Eloy's albums are really good. Try "Planets" and "Time to Turn".

  • Andy is not having fun at all. maybe because of playback :l

Btw, i have a question to Camel fans: do you also listen "Eloy" the german progressive rock band? i tried but didn't like as much as Camel. Maybe you recommend some other songs of them?

  • As a HUGE Kayak fan, I would just have to be a HUGE Ton Scherpenzeel fan, so it's great to have a glimpse of the King of Keyboards--even if somewhat distorted, LOL--playing with another band...and not just any old band, but the wonderful Camel! I can surely see why they wanted Ton to jump in with them: they make a great combo. Even if the VHS source leaves something to be desired, the whole band sound fantastic.

Thanks so much for posting this!

  • Wonderful Rainbow after rain.......

  • Pezzo fantastico, certo che la "location"... :-)

  • Great stuff - never seen this before.

  • Great find!

Though in the vid Andy looks like he's either gonna fall asleep or throw a base drum at his agents.

This must be around the period he said to himself "that's it, I can't take this pretending anymore! I'm going on an 8 years hiatus!".
