More than 800 families in Rarieda District are facing starvation owing to the ongoing drought. Only 80,000 bags of maize have been donated to residents, a number far less than the 192, 000 bags expected, posing a threat to food security in the region. Residents are urging the government to intervene by supplying relief food.
Ralienda people has no one to blame but themselves.
They kicked out Raphael Tuju who had their needs at heart

it is foolhardy to imagine that busying urself with plugging the leakage in ur flooded cabin on the titanic is at all helpful when the titanic itself is actually sinking! Kenya (titanic) has been 'sinking' for yrs n Rarieda (ur flooded cabin) is no exception! reducing this food & water crisis to raila contra tuju affair is terribly naive! effective local n national governance processes n institutions remain the sustainable option not personality cults! It's time to 'sing a new song'
