@peaceowassis Usually it takes about 1 to 3 minutes to drown fully. My uncle almost drowned in a pool when he was 4.

but, how fast can someone drown? maybe the sensor wont get it intime

one went off at a swimming baths i was at once (now gone) cause some person tried to see how long he could stay under water for like some others do and they pulled the pool alarm just incase he was drowning or something but after the man was just laughing about it.

I guess I don't quite follow your comment. The alarm can be moved out of the pool at any point, so if you want your children to go swimming, you simply remove it. If I don't understand your question, please let me know.
