  • I got my CGM this past April. I can get 12 to 13 days out of each sensor. My insurance does cover the sensors once I meet my deductible for the year. So it is expensive until the deductible is met. My suggestion is to make sure you feel 100% on the pump before adding a CGMS. Part of the reason is because there is a learning curve with it so why make it hard and try to learn a pump and a CGMS together? I'm glad I waited for my CGMS...stay tuned for tshirt info....

  • Thanks for the informative video. I have have used this device for about 18 months and never knew that it could be used at sites other than the abdomen. Do you get different degrees of accuracy from different sites?

  • The accuracy is the same but I notice when the sensor is in my hip, buttock, or upper thigh area that I get more dead time in the middle of the night where there are no readings for 10 to 15 minutes, a few times a night. In the back of the arms works the best for me, no dead air, same accuracy every time.

  • A new frontier! That's what using the arm for wearing a sensor feels like.

Thanks for making making me aware of the "new" site. My first arm insertion was yesterday and I have been very pleased wby the accuracy.

Perhaps your next video can diagram the potential size of injection sites. It would be helpful to know the boundaries for a given area such as the arm, abdomen, etc, and if you always wear the pod/battery horizontally.

  • Great vid! I love how you speak like a kindergarten teacher, so cute! When did you get you cgm? How long can you have a sensor in for? Are they covered by insurance? And perhaps the most important question is where did you get that awesome shirt?!?!?!
