@BEEJAY1953 Hi, I do remember that drawing of Jesus on the cross because I did it at home and my parents suggested I took it into school to show the teacher. I did, and the teacher (not Mr Mcluskey I dont think) said to take it to the head master, Mr Lennon(?) and he said it was good but also said I shouldn't draw pictures of Jesus, as that was for 'proper artists' to do! (I am a 'proper artist' now, by the way) Kind regards, John.

Lovely video :) nice to hear memories from many years ago. its not long since i left - just 4 years - but everything changes so quickly nowadays. fun times like trying to hit the hall roof as many times as possible when playin table tennis in there and mr berry and mr rooney in horrendously skimpy costumes! and the teachers band. and various productions music/drama where we spent many of our weekend hours with a stressful mrs o'connor and mr toye! :D all happy memories!

40 years ago we had every manhole cover up in the place to use for secret smoking dens. Christened it many times with my bird under the stage (and even above it).
Saved the place from burning down when I found a candle burning the wooden transoms under that stage set there by the 4th year numpties, and I put the fire out. (the charred hole is still there under the right side), check it out.
Dinnertime northern soul discos, and Peanut our teacher. Ahh fond memories. LOL
