First, I have to say, Ads are Ads, I don't let anyone telling me what to buy. 2nd, I LOVE building my own computer, and I do not have the option of installing OS10, I have to choose between Win, and Lin.

Buy a Mac, ok. I'm a PC, ok.

I'm a builder and I buy parts. Why? Something I've been doing since the mid 90's and until I get sick of it, I'll be a Linux and Windows user. OS10 is great, but lacks the most important thing to me. It lacks to let me, be me.

Lets see... buy a Mac and you get an OUT OF DATE Intel chip on an Intel board, running software that if you want speed and stability linux based is still faster and they want to charge how much for it?!? hahaha fuck Mac. I am a custom builder and yes i can compare my custom builds to a MAC and say i can buy a copy of your software and run it faster than your air flow inferior case.... and guess what it wouldn't cost me half of what the Mac would.....

Unless something drastic changes, Apple will always keep their OS tied to their hardware. The hardware is where they make their money and they use the OS to force people who want it to buy their hardware. The irony is, lots of people are now using Windows on Macs.

As much as I understand your point about the incongruence about both companies and their ads, the thing is: most users won't separate software from hardware. They will weigh the whole product experience as a whole. Therefore, I do understand why Apple and Microsoft are speaking to the same audiences in similar ways.

Now, what I think it was a mistake was for PC... err... I mean, Microsoft to talk balk to Apple. The leader NEVER answers to the underdog. MS just empowered Apple.
