Vintage testcard - designed by RTE and vaguely similar to British Testcard 'C'. Strangely the music doesn't sound like its been made by two blokes in an Irish pub with tin whistles...

  • I miss those days when everything was easy. There was no stress like today, no internet, no mobile phones....

  • Excellent ! 5*

  • @687 What is St. Brigid?

  • The cross attached to the 'R' in RTE is the St. Brigid's cross - used as the RTE emblem until the last few years.

  • I remember it. They also sometimes used one with "Reduced Power" written on it.

  • God, I was only 2 at the time but they must have used that weird looking R letter for a long time afterwards
