This video is part 5 of my continuing tribute to the late Carl Sagan.

Previous Episode: The Gift of Apollo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dF-eRBZLLwU

Excerpts were taken from Carl Sagan's Cosmos. More specifically, from the episode titled The Backbone of Night. I edited together the audio from portions of the episode and added the video from:

- Artificial Intelligence - AI (movie)
- BBC's Wonders of the Solar System with Brian Cox
- BBC's Walking with Cavemen
- Carl Sagan's Cosmos
- Discovery's Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking
- EVE Online: Causality (Trailer)
- NASA's Ares X-1 Test Rocket Launch
- NASA's Constellation, Earth, Moon, Mars
- Science Channel's Through the Wormhole

The music is a mixture of songs from the Lost soundtrack: Giving up Ghost, Michael's Right to Remain Wrong, Booneral and Parting Words.

The Carl Sagan Tribute Series will continue, please subscribe to my channel if you wish to be among the first to see my newest videos.

  • @claton95 I have "Date Christian women" lol

  • @thescorpionking2020 I think he would have been a great tool in the fight agains religion today. Dawkins and Hitchens (miss you man) are great, but there is just something about the way Sagan attacks religion, you can't call it an attack, it's like a debunking, a soft debunking lol

  • I think this world is ready for another intellectual savant like Newton and Einstein.

  • "We make our world significant by the courage of or questions and the depths of our answers".

  • The sky calls to us. If we do not destroy ourselves, we will one day venture to the stars.

  • Is this Cosmos?

  • @StacksNyc80 how so? don,t you know god made everything? not sure which one though.

  • i really need the subtitle so badly! :((

  • kinda ironic but there's an ad titled "Help Rick Santorum win the Republican Nomination for President" next to this video lol
