Its like the taliling ponds in Alberta.

@myplanters majority of orangutan live outside of protected forest. do your research before you call others idiots, you idiot + liar! yeah, karma, hope u become orangutan in next life & u will learn the fact.
-
@Makadonska27 excuse me?u do?In what way?FDI investment?yeah, but mostly american companies do that, Dell, etc. Y do we need ur aid when we have a thriving economy? Middle income country with Low poverty and high employment rate. How about ur country?Pls do some research.
I'm so sick of this westerners who think that msia and all asian countries are backward n in desperate need of their 'aid'. Oi, times hv changed.

I can't believe people are on here trying to protect this ad. What a bunch of scumbags. Set aside the killing of orangutans, they also destroy forest, pollute the rivers, and steal land from the indigenous who live there. How do you fucking people sleep at night? You better hope theres no such thing as heaven and hell becuase you'll be burning for eternity.

Dont we (UK) give aid to malaysia? I only just found out about this situation when looking at Malaysia as a possible holiday destination. Fk going there on holiday, there should be sanctions against them.

as if we are stupid enough to believe that these Orwellian monoculture crops are good for mankind....
and did they say that Filipino and Indonesian slave labour were used to crop them?

laurens890 and sabahborneo are a couple of idiots. Ha! Ha! Ha!
Malaysia has orang utan sanctuaries, so stop telling lies about orang utan shooting. Bad karma will get back to liars like you.
Ironically, developed nations, with smoke belching heavy industry, are the biggest poluters in the world. Yet, they are quick to point fingers at poor nations. Shame on you!

frankly speaking, crown shyness shown in 00:24 would never be possible to appear in a palm oil plantation. That could only be seen in rain forest, or at least, artificial forest. The ad is trying to create some link between this two things which is irrelevant in actual life! Orangutan lose their home because of the new plantations! Do you think MPOC will tell you such thing? If I were in their shoes, for the sake of profit, I won't.

sabahborneo, this advert is not misleading. the illusration is just to give viewers the feel good effect (just like any other adverts out there) but it didn't hide the real fact that oil palm is a highly sustainable crop.
what other crop that has a roundtable being initiated to ensure sustainable practice is taken into place? what other industry that has a very strict authority and thorough report on every activity? all of these are to ensure that they are practice sustainably.
This add is a complete lie!The bird in the add lives in north america, not in indonesia/malaysia where palm oil plantations grow! The plantations by the way even have much less biodiversity than LOGGED FOREST! Millions of hectares of forest are raised to the ground for palm oil, making Indonesia the third largest emitter of greenhouse gasses, after China and the US. Orang outangs in palm oil plantations are killed because they eat the oil seeds to try to survive because there forest has been gone

WHAT WAS THAT?. Hummingbirds and iguana in Malaysia?. 80% Malaysia deforestations was no thanks to palm oil plantations!!. This advertisement is just another showcase of MPOC ignorance, a complete lie to advertise palm oil as sustainable produced and benefits the environment.
