@npknittingaddict i do a back stitch too. I find that i always miss the edge alittle and cause problems so i do the back stitch to get the edge. plus it just a little stronger for me anyway.
You may want to invest in an Accuquilt Go fabric die cutter. You could cut out your squares in about 15 mins :) I love mine and I bet you'd really enjoy cutting out shapes so quickly. Thanks for the video!

Much easier to use a charm pack with 5" precut squares. Good explanations.

i would recommend pressing before sewing the rows together. it would make it alot easier for you to line up everything,.
