@provideotube also add the fact of the processor speed. That's essential but not as much as the RAM you mentioned. I have an 8GB ram Macbook Pro
-
@provideotube lol much ram doesn't mean more performance, you don't even notice the different with 4gb and8 gb of ram except when you using a lot of application, performance? not at all, probably faster processor and Graphics card, and ram bus
-
Macbook Pro already uses 1.5 GB for the OS X to run, therefore if you have only 2 GB applications would only have 500 MB to use!!!
2 GB = Unacceptable/ Slow
4 GB = Recommended/ Normal
8 GB = Fast/ Performance

Hmmm, :/ My 2009 VAIO, with W7, it's faster than your MacShit

@ThePintoAce haha no not at all.. The new macbook pros are very fast, if you aren't a gamer you can't "feel" the difference between a 1199$ macbook pro or a 1599$ macbook pro. Check out the apple website for information. If you really want to buy a new laptop and you like mac, why not buy one? :D I give you advice: buy the 1199$ one, you really don't feel the difference between them... :)

aha cool
just wondering, since im still a high school student and my parents making me pay from my own work money,
Is the mac worth it for me. I mean atleast 1500 is a lot, and I just bought an Hp dm4 (1200 with anti virus, 2 yr warranty, tax, i5 processor 2.6 ghz,
Now im planning on 2.4 ghz 13 inch mac book pro. core 2 duo, doesnt it seem like im paying more for a lower spec. Is it slower than the other laptop?

Yeah nice video...I'm not that impressed with the speed though...In fact it's pretty slow. Would it be because you're recording at the same time?

@okrum Possibly it uses quite a lot of RAM
