Map 1 - 0:00 - 4:42
Map 2 - 4:43 - 10:30
Map 3 - 10:30 - 16:43
Map 4 - 16:43 till end

Been trying to get to grips with the cryengine 3 development kit, great piece of technology. Havn't used a game engine/ level editor since Hammer Editor on valves Source SDK (Half life 2 and Counter-strike source lol), things have definately progressed alot since then.

Just some very basic unfinished maps, trying to create some realistic looking terrain/landscapes. All basic default assets and textures etc. Messing around with some custom TOD (Time of Day) and Depth of Field (DOF) effects, really love this editor and look forward to being able to use it properly!

Music -
Lyle Mays - Close to Home (Mars)
Lyle Mays - Procession
Allan Holdsworth - The Un-Merry Go Round
Allan Holdsworth - Mr.Berwell

All thanks to Crytek and the musicians for their ultimate jazz fusion goodness :P

  • wtf terrain rendering is totally fucked up, plenty of popping artifacts

  • @munha666 surely you are familiar with "Level of Detail" where a texture has both a high res and low res version depending on how far away you are?

  • Download link for all 4 please!!!!!!!

  • @TheMultiBlob sure i will upload them in a few days, thanks

  • how get enemies?

and were are the download link?

    thx.

  • @jameybrand in the "Objects" tab on the rightside click on AI to expand the menu, then choose "Grunt" and place, then enable physics/AI in the "Game" tab at the top of the screen.

These maps were made by myself and are not good enough to be put up for download :P, just my attempts at learning to use the engine... thanks anyway :) i can upload them somewhere if you really want, but there is not much to do with them.

  • @munha666

It's the level of detail optimization like the uploader stated. Plus, he's in free-cam mode flying around quickly so it's much easier to notice the terrain details popping in.

  • @kingofshred Don't listen to all those haters out there. Your work is truly amazing. You are a KING(of shred) that must mean something :)

  • @SherdX10 F1 to change view, thanks
