Misty was the greatest underwater flyer ever... her SDK (streamlined dolphin kick) on middle-body-side revolutioned the techinque and it was the basis of modern underwater swim (phelps's one too)

Misty used to blow up in the last lap, even in the semis she did. This was just one of those days where the sun was shining on her. She took it out hard and was able to hang on incredibly well. Agree that Susie couldn't see her, but even if she could, would have had to have an incredible swim to beat her.

I always get emotional whenever I watch this. One of the best, most inspirational races ever. We have the great honor to know Misty personally and there truly couldn't be a nicer person.
