  • Misty was the greatest underwater flyer ever... her SDK (streamlined dolphin kick) on middle-body-side revolutioned the techinque and it was the basis of modern underwater swim (phelps's one too)

  • i love it when the underdog winns! Go Misty!

  • yay misty!! it's not upsetting when Misty wins!!!

  • Misty used to blow up in the last lap, even in the semis she did. This was just one of those days where the sun was shining on her. She took it out hard and was able to hang on incredibly well. Agree that Susie couldn't see her, but even if she could, would have had to have an incredible swim to beat her.

  • cute how she's happy

  • my coach made me come here

  • misty is my swim coach at shadow mountain high school

  • I love you Misty! You are my inspiration!

  • Quote from Misty Hyman 2000 Olympic Gold medal swimmer from Mesa Arizona said today at the Healthy Kids Camp where she spoke to about 75 kids, "On any given day, ordinary people that have done the work and have the courage to try... can win! The only thing we have control of is our ability to do our best...if you do this...no matter the outcome, you will be a champion."

  • She gave me pointers today and they really helped a lot

  • They waiting on turns"... Look at mistys turn...6,7 beats dophin kicks...amazing...only handful of swimmers using that kind of turns nowdays :)

  • I always get emotional whenever I watch this. One of the best, most inspirational races ever. We have the great honor to know Misty personally and there truly couldn't be a nicer person.
