Driving on I-496 and flooring the gas, the van was slower than usual. The engine revved, but no speed. Coasting into a parking spot in downtown Lansing and trying to start it again confirmed, the driveplate was shot. I stripped everything of value, including the gas, coolant, washer fluid and bulbs before scrapping this heap. It was going to cost over $800 to fix (got some estimates). I don't have the equipment to fix either, as it involves removing the transmission. I guess the Intrepid is going to have to get fixed if I want to drive. Oh well!
