  • @dddfddsds Damn a mom slam? I'm just so fucking offended right now it's ridiculous. Are you 10 years old?

Next time you say a game isn't scary make sure you've played it first. I can tell you've never even touched 1 Silent Hill game, little girl.

  • @Dremorium Ambient sounds alright but they were only in 1 part of the game as a major aspect. I played that game with rarely worrying about the sanity meter and I really didn't notice anything appearing. Being able to defend yourself in a survival horror game is generally a key element. The other thing about Amnesia was there were no random spawning of monsters or changing of environments to throw you off or creep you out. You could just run through that game no problem on the first try.

  • @spoufy1 ...transept, the cages on the roof look empty, but with low enough sanity, there's things inside them. Thats visual. But what also really makes the game is the sounds, you hear things like crying, screaming, and torture, which really make you cringe, like abacination ;p Sounds make horror games i think

  • @spoufy1 considering only 5 people made the game they did alot. And what makes Amnesia IS the hiding, the fact that you can't kill or out run them make it really terrifying, in games such as condemned, its not scary because you can just kill the scares that come out. Alot of Amnesias gameplay had psychological horror, in the game there are only about 5 proper monsters that attack you, if i remember, so you see visuals like the guardian(blood things) and corpses, like when you walk into the....

  • @Dremorium For me Amnesia is missing the visuals. Granted you do get to see the monsters if you so choose but the underlying aspect of the game is to avoid them and hide. If anything the game makes you more curious to look than instilling "horror" as a horror game should.

  • @Dremorium yea all horror games are unique but Amnesia was improperly rated if you ask me. It doesn't deserve a 9.5 yea the game gives you a lot of control over the environment and the sanity but... If music starts playing you already know there is a monster nearby and you can hear them before you see them so you hide before anything happens. Silent hill has the warnings too but they also create a fearful environment through the music and locations. Visuals play a huge part in horror games.

  • @spoufy1 i think all horror games are unique in their own way, Amnesia had the sanity meter, Silent hill has nice environments morphing into terrifying ones. Nd that I really like in both of them ;D

  • @korggg123 Mannequins just randomly appearing. Enemies that blend in with surroundings. Having you creep over objects making your vision restricted then shit appearing. I can understand the argument for amnesia. It is first person. That adds to the effect. But there is only the 1 effect. Deffenselessness. That just doesn't cut it if you ask me.

  • @korggg123 amnesia's only fear factor is in the fact that you are defenseless and have to hide. other than that it doesn't have a fearful environment or setting set by music. it was really lacking to me. silent hill is scary but it has more environment and music going for it. Condemned is probably the only survival horror game to get to me. Some of the shit in that game you just can't expect. There is no radio telling you when enemies come, no music warnings. Just shit popping out of walls

  • Man, this series fucked with my head so much....
