Tecmo Bowl password glitch

Tecmo Bowl does not do a very good job of checking if your password is actually valid. This password encodes the information that your team is the sixteenth team on the list of teams. However, there are only twelve teams, so the results are rather bizarre.

This password works on the Nintendo, Game Boy, and Wii versions of Tecmo Bowl. (The results are slightly different on the Game Boy and Wii versions.)

If you try this password yourself, if you call an offensive play, then the game will lock up.

I believe that this password was originally told to me by someone else. However, I subsequently figured out how the password system works; it turns out that there are four "teams" that the password system allows that do not actually exist. Each has slightly different results, but this particular "team" has the fastest players.

I tried it too, and it worked just like in the video without anything getting permanently messed up.

Maybe by "tried this" duke4430 really meant "tried pouring battery acid all over my Nintendo."

I was actually playing with this password just now, and managed to get a very glitchy offensive play to work. It's very random though for it to actually work.
