Saw FTJ at Cambridge Corn Exchange on Sunday 16th December - absolutely brilliant. The atmosphere was incredible - fantastic tight performance played with real passion and they looked like they enjoyed the gig as much as the crowd did. Russell and Dave were spot on and I agree with st0ner65 - it was like 1979 for me when I saw them at Aylesbury with The Vapours - remember them? If you didn't get to see the original Jam live go and see FTJ - you'll be very glad you did!!

I knew Weller had turned into an A1 dick when he appeared at the 1984 (or thereabouts) Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade on a float lyp synching one of his wanna-be Motown singles. truly cringe inducing.

@ynotyrrebrac Yeah I bought Foxton's studio release from the early 80's after the Jam and it was laughable. Big disappointment. Still, watching some clips of them now they sound really good live!

As Bruce so rightly says in the book 'The Jam - Our Story'; "There were actually three people in The Jam. And two weren't Paul Weller".
I have had the pleasure to have a few beers with Bruce, Rick, Russell & Dave this summer and they are four of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet.
I well pleased for the guys in From The Jam that they have played to so many people this year.
I hope they play many more concerts in 2008.
