"Ott" is a remake of one of the oldest known motion pictures, the 1894 film "Fred Ott's Sneeze" by Thomas Edison.
More of a reimagining than a remake, really, "Ott" retells the timeless story of one man's struggle to remove an irritant from his nostril, but sets it in a small apartment in modern day New York City.
More information and an extended director's cut can be found at http://www.ironicsans.com/2006/05/ott.html
The original was an unforgettable classic of cinema. I did like your take on it but I failed to see the emotion portrayed. I say this only because Fred Otts was known for his emotion in his acting and it is very hard to follow.
I thought you captured the essence of the original and I liked how the original twists you put in didn't stray too much away from the original story.
Although not as good (as many remakes aren't) it is a worthy piece of cinema that I think I will watch again and again!

I am baffled by your comment sir! The original, though a masterpiece, is far too short. With the lovely preamble, this one has a more dramatic impact on the audience. Briliant work sir!
