Fireflies at Night (bioluminescence)

June 11, 2010 — I finally made a video of fireflies at night. Arkansas Fireflies set to harp music -- Hank Hogan
The first frames are ventral view of firefly that lit upon the windshield. I stopped of course, to take some photos. - I used a Fuji S5000 + macro diopter lenses videos were shot on a Fuji S700
The night shots were made more recently in the backyard in the grass underneath a maple tree. (Thursday 10 June 2010) with the aid of small 9 LED flashlight.
The musical accompaniment is a fragment of what I recall of the Fox Hunter's Jig played from memory on my harp to test out a sound Sony IC MP3 stereo recorder.

A great little vid Hank! I've never seen Fireflies, I think we call them Glowworms if they're the same creature? haven't seen them either. Sweet tune. Thanks for responding to my vid with this.
