No its not a "public service message"! I'm assuming is part of an interview. But since Brian lends his name, support and information to the general public thru his documentaries on Science...he should avoid trying to offend those less intelligent or educated and give clear reasoned responses to questions. Calling people names or showing such contempt for those less rational ... he has confirmed some peoples opinion that scientist are overpaid snobs. I like Brian...its an observation.

You are completely wrong about no spirituality in people like Brian Cox, the sense of meaning and wonder looking at the universe without anthropic arrogance gives you dwarfs any pseudo spiritualism or religion on Earth. They are filled with more humble awe and wonder than you could probably conceive of, you're are stuck looking at the universe in relation to humanity. That is the definition of arrogance. But your constant badgering makes people who are not as limited as you are frustrated.
