Actually, the Ellis guy was doing more of the rushing than anyone else. Ironically enough, he was also the one taking the most damage (as the beginning of the vid clearly shows him going from green to red in .2 seconds due to the Spitter's acid.
And the Ellis guy actually opted for them to take the shortcut. Hell, he rushed them. The other 2 probably didn't know how to do it. Sud stayed one step ahead of the game.

It's only real good use is on expert. Face-shooting a Smoker/Hunter with a Magnum is a OHKO. Shooting common anywhere on their bodies is a OHKO. For lower difficulties, though, you'd be better off bringing Dual Pistols or Melee Weapons.

ive been wondering, whats the point of the magnum?it only has 7 or 8 shots, slower firing rate, and less accuracy than the dualies/single pistol. the only use i can think of for it is as a good downed weapon.
