RE Charlieissocoollike: Beard - A Poem

Not a patch on Charlie's excellent Moustache poem, but I hope you can still find joy in more facial hair related poetry.

We grow beards to cover our faces,
Keep a secret place, on our braincases.

We grow beards to disguise and hide,
Hold an identity, never to confide.

We grow beards to catch our food,
It falls from our lips, already chewed.

We grow beards because were too lazy,
Didnt buy razors, our excuses are hazy

We grow beards because we dont conform,
We think it looks cool and it keeps our heads warm.

Beards come in many shapes and sizes,
Long, short, and other surprises

So do not be afraid of the pogonic man,
He has no motive, no scheme, no plan
He wishes only to be accepted, amongst his clan
Fear not, fear not, the bearded man.
