I would encourage you to find out what key are you most comfortable singing in. If you would like to, send me a quick 15 sec video of you singing, I can tell you what key you are in. Your other option is to play scales on the piano and find out how many octaves you can sing in, but you will need to learn and practice scales first.

@MrJtwillson I was in the completely same situation. When I sing for myself it sounds terrible in my own ears and it made me lose my motivation completely. But then I tried to record it on my computer and it actually didn't sound that bad. I could hear that my voice still is pretty unstable but somewhere behind it I could see some kind of potential. Maybe someone have any good tips for me now when I'm learning to sing? :)

OMG THAT makes perfect scense thanx man cuz when im singing i think it sounds bad till i play it back in the booth but how do i find out if im tenor,alto,or bass
