My choir in high school sang this song often... the last and final time we sung it was at our choir teacher's funeral in January of my Junior year. I hadn't heard it in soooo long, and all the sudden was humming it this morning, then started to remember the words and melody on my way to work and just started bawling. Definitely one of the best songs ever written.

What a beautiful song. as it is. I could NEVER see this being done well with a full band or orchestra or anything. the simplicity of this song is what makes it beautiful.
