The luckiest Opossum alive. His name is Pepper and he walks the beach every evening with his buddy Roman.

  • What state do you live in? I live in Oregon and it's illegal to have a possum as a pet, which totally sucks ass because possums are everywhere here! I am told they are not indiginous and therfore people can't have them. NOTHING IS INDIGINOUS! From all the possum vidoes I've seen on YouTube it certainly seems that possums make great pets. They seem to be inquisitive, unassuming and sweet.

  • I live in Florida. It's free to get a permit and is required by law but very easy to get. Opossums make very good pets and don't get rabies. Look online at your states wildlife laws and maybe you can have one too?

  • Is Pepper nonreleaseable?

  • No, he can't be released. He was raised to think all people and animals are his friend. He follows dogs around when he see's them and wonders up to all people and licks on them. He has a great life sleeping in the closet all day and uses the cats litter. He goes to the beach every evening to make new friends. He has run of the house when he's awake at night.

  • The dog is his "step mother"? :)

  • puppy dog ride? O_o

  • Thats awesome! I think I'll try and train my opossum to ride on top of my cat.

  • that is so f'n cute.

  • I live in Florida and I found a baby opossum yesterday. He has fur and his eyes are open, he is about 4 1/2" from tip of his nose to the base of his tail. I want to care for him myself and I know I need a permit but I am not sure where I need to go or how long it will take. I have already researched a lot about opossums already to further my knowledge about them. He is eating and drinking and full of spunk which makes me feel good that he isn't sick. Any info would help! Thanks!
