now, we were discussing what kamen rider is exactly, and i was wondering about which series i should watch. i'm not entirely sure if one series carries from the next, so i was asking you.

@AJSantiesteban No, each series is independent from each other, so you can start anywhere. They each have their own flavor though, if you prefer humerous I'd say Den-O, if you like more dramatic then Kabuto. The middle road is Double.

@AJSantiesteban Noooooo, no no no no no no no... that's the US version of Kamen Rider Ryuki which is already one of my least favorite series. It's okay for a US adaptation but the plot gets so needlessly complicated and there's some really bad writing choices along the way. It's not real Kamen Rider in the least.

@TJOmega Personally, having just gotten into Kamen Rider myself, I found the mass-crossover gimmick of the Decade series a good starting course to the other series. Kinda like having a little sample platter of all of the more recent (at least, from the Kuuga to the Kiva serieses) without all of the heavy plot points that would've bogged down new faces to the series.

That, and I'm a sucker for cards...but mostly the whole "getting the feet wet" aspect.

Well, technically that's not true. Kamen Rider Black RX is the direct sequel to Kamen Rider Black, which absolutely needs to be seen first of the show is to make any sense whatsoever.
