The berry flavor probably came from the type of yeast they used.

Deschutes is one of my favorite breweries (one of Oregon's many fine breweries). Black Butte is outstanding, but my favorite offering of theirs are their seasonal IPAs. Good stuff. Good review.

Deschutes is one of my favorite breweries and so is Rogue. The Northwest is making some really good craft beers.
