Sculpted Thoughts - A Second Life Sculpture

A quick demo of my new SL sculpture called Second Thoughts. It's a morphing, animated sculpted prim that uses the Second Life video features to modify the shape of the Sculpty. It uses some custom scripts to update the shape of the sculpty very quickly, around 8 frames per second.

I'm not understanding what the big deal is and why people put this game down, and make comments like people dont have a life, or they got some kind of a social issue all because they decide to play this game. at first when i started playing it i was a bit annoyed with it and didn't see the point and the more i played the more i liked, its just a damn video game its no different than facebook, myspace, or sittin in front of a tv with a playstation, dont knock something you hadn't even tried

Sadly Lindens decided to no longer allow sculpted prims to get the images from a video link. This is how it was done. I was the one working on the sculpted waves. We used an animated baked texture over the sculpt instead. One perhaps makes a changing sculpted shape but due to it being a simple image switchers the result is very choppy.

Very impressive. I saw some vid marketing sculpted prim waves, & islands, & asked myself why the F would anyone want a ginormous sculpted prim for an island when you could just use the in world land editor... after seeing this I see some potential. One could sell entire islands that actually change their shape, or make uber awesome believable waves if they had the time & skill to do such a thing. I just might have to look into this more... Great video, & very cool sculpture!
