You hypermilers SUCK ASS... get the FUCK out of my way when you see me, let me pass you in my Civic that gets 35 mpg and will get to 60 in 6 seconds AT THE SAME TIME...

Saving gas by driving slower or smoother is not stupid or gay , it is saving money and increasing the life of your car ...

this is fine but this is only "good" miling, probably not hyper. i already do this as long as i remember and i can say this doesn't make significant difference unless theres a red light every 100 meters.

2. If you floor your Civic to go around people, you won't get 35 mpg.

Why must civic drivers act so cool all the time? You're driving an economy car.

my car just coasts...you take your foot of the gas, and it keeps going...this only works on lightweight cars

I love coasting up to a light while the idiots pass me going 70 and by the time I get to the light it is already green and now I pass him who was idling at the light!

true hypermiling Rule No.1: DON'T EVER BRAKE!!! (avoid unless for safety purposes). Braking is money down the drain. Conserve momentum whenever humanly possible and keep engine in neutral while coasting...
