Part 9 of TMNT2 for the NES. Final battle and ending.

You may notice the 9 lives there. I unsurprisingly was beat by these guys, so I had to continue. I cut my failed attempt.

Commentary:
0:05 - There is just no good way to beat Krang, who (despite my efforts later on) is the hardest boss in the game. I'd stick with the good old fashioned jumpkicks, trying to aim high on his body, but honestly, it's just a long, hard slag through a boss with a ton of HP.
2:17 - No, not invincible, but close enough.
2:28 - Shredder isn't too tough, except for his whole instant-kill move. He also clones himself. The trick is to beat on them with jumpkicks until one loses their helmet...that's the clone. If you kill the clone, he makes another one. The only thing to watch for is his anti-mutagen ray, which turns you into a turtle (I stupidly blunder into this more than once)...if he suddenly backs off to one side, he's about to do it. Get behind him. Note that the helmetless Shredder can't do the beam.
2:47 - Two in a row. He's pretty frisky in this fight.
5:28 - Cripes! He's not really this hard, I swear. He's just doing a lot of double-beams and getting in a lot of lucky shots.
5:45 - Once both Shredders are helmetless, you've got this pretty much won. He can't beam or clone.
6:09 - ...victory! Enjoy the ending which they seem to use a lot in these games...and thanks for watching. Comments appreciated, as always.

  • Where Krang gets all those fists?

  • @Maksapihvi Dimension X science, of course.

  • the trick to beat krang without losing too much hp is to wait till he shoots his laser at you.. once he does that you can jump kick him and get out of his way. most likely youre still gonna get hit a lot but not as much as you would if you just kept kicking him and getting a boot up the ass.

  • @kovyiscool Yeah, I was just kind of brute-forcing him. Got kind of tired at this point.

  • Dude I was watching all your videos in order, did you skip a few stages? I didn't remember seeing Tokka or Rahzer? I know there in there cuz I use to own it.

  • @dennnis2781 They're in the next game: TMNTIII, The Manhattan Project.

  • a word advice never try to corner the real one when you have the fake hitting you:)

  • My friend and I used to hate the "Game over" dialog together with the dismissive sound at the end, as if you just died and lost! It always made us wonder if we did anything wrong and if it could be avoided. Good times back in the 90's!

  • why did everything have to explode in the end of every nes game???

  • How u go from 4 to 9 men. U must of died or used a code

  • I never got to beat those shredders by myself, but when my uncle played with me, it was so much easier.

  • I remember playing this great though very difficult game when a was a kid. I played it so long that I finally made it to Shreder without any cheats but i was never able to beat him.
