  • To be somebody you don't have to be famous. It takes a lot to achieve what this guy has whether you like his work or not. I think it is un called for to call him a nobody. It takes a lot of hard work.

  • @gradusm He's still a nobody who makes mediocre clothes.

  • @rvggarcon the guy they hired is not a nobody just not established like the other designers you talk about. Peter Copping, 'enjoys a much lower profile in the industry; British born and a graduate of the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins, he is an alumnus of Sonia Rykiel's studios and has spent a decade with Jacobs at Vuitton.' I guess the bosses thougth his asthetic fitted in with the old idea of Nina Ricci. Plus not good relationship with theyskens

  • @gradusm I agree, but firing him and hiring a nobody who makes mediocre clothes is not the answer. They could have expanded more into leather goods, accessories, and a more wearable/understandable pre-collection. I doubt the new designer has raised higher profits since Olivier left.

  • @rvggarcon i don't disagree that olivier is a very talented designer and that this a beautiful collection. But it is true that not enough people were buying his clothes and that these other designers you mention are also very talented. But they not able to compete with more comercial brands like louis vuitton, dior and prada ect. Alexander mcqueen is a good example of where he only started to make a profit in his last couple of years. How else could you explain firing such a talented designer.

  • @gradusm That's BS and we all know it, because Olivier had a sort of cult following much like Nicholas Ghesquiere, Hedi Slimane, Riccardo Tisci, Rick Owens...Now they hired an asshole that nobody knows who makes boring fucking clothes. Nina Ricci execs must have been on crack to make such a foolish decision!!

  • @rvggarcon no profit

  • @9999990000000000000 They're walking skeletons!

  • Those girls look SO skinny. It's quite sad really.

  • Why the fuck would you fire Olivier Theyskens? He's very sought after, respected and famous, he has a great reputation and people love him. Why would you fire him and hire some nobody who sucks and nobody knows?????
