Weiss was one of the most important lutenists of his time, and this beautiful piece of his is one of my favorites. A passacaglia is basically a set of variations that are built upon a repeated figure in the bass. I hope you enjoy my interpretation!

Please forgive the accompaniment that the 1 a.m. train provides about four minutes into the piece!
