This might be the best version ever. Sandy sounds like she's about to explode.The phrasing is intense with desperation.I love Fairport, however if this was her only recording (ever) she would Qualify for Immortality.

Richard Thompson advised her to change 'purple' to 'evening', but years later admitted that psychedelic purple was probably OK after all! Of it's 'Time' perhaps.

I listen to this song and the story of my life flashes before my eyes . I'm sad yet hopefull, i'ts never over till it's over , there is always hope and there is love in this world , you just can't give up , peace to everyone who feels her music on such a personal level
