JAKE! I LOVE this guy!

The way Ritchie scrambles with the characters taking one excerpt from Holmes and combining it with another one from the books, like the Holmes catchphrases and plays hide and seek with the characters like Moriarty and Adler is pathetic. Mary Morstan is just showoff. As a Holmes fan, I feel like banging my head against the wall after watching this movie. Thats the same I felt when I watched a dozen movies on Holmes before Ritchie. Only god knows why nobody gets iit right for Holmes.

I totally agree with cartoonlove9. Guy Ritchie could have named it " My Sherlock Holmes" rather than just Sherlock Holmes. He has turned Holmes into a superman in these movies. While books and cinema are two different mediums, yet there should be at least some resemblance between the movies and the books apart from the character names. The movies based on Holes before Ritchie are even worse and that's what comes to rescue these movies which is a reprehensible ripoff.

@cartoonlove9 LOL, Robert. you're hilarious! One, psychopaths aren't insane, they simply don't have a conscience. Medication won't help them nor will therapy. Bipolar folk are the opposite, in fact, of psychopaths. This has been lots of fun, but I have to fly. My best to Susan and the new little Downey.

@melarry that u r bipolar was clear from the beginning. infact after ur imaginative exchange, i am now sure that u r also psychopath. but bipolars imagine others to be like him as well, so ur claim comes to me as no surprise. u r disabled for life and u like to see others like u. what will a psychopath know about Sherlock Holmes? anyways, have a life, psychopath and get good medication.

The BBC Sherlock is more loyal to the books... and thats frikin adapted and based in the twenty first century! every detail of the book an episode is based on is thought about cleverly... Its the best thing on tv at the moment :) let me know what you think :)

Haha. Guy Richie, a british diretor... and whats he doing... why hes holding a cup of tea of course! :)

@cartoonlove9 I have read all of the original stories. In fact, I've written a published pastiche. I'm also bipolar so I recognize a bipolar person when I read this. Sitting around waiting for the baby to be born is kind of stressful. I love you, and I wish you and Susan (and Jude, too) the best on the new production. Thanks for the exchange.

@melarry u r an ignorant who never read the original stories and only know Holmes by name and have never cared to go through the pages even once. Conclusion- u r just a fan of action flicks and don'y really care much for literary masterpiece. I don't care what u think or what u say. hey, wait may be u r the illegitimate son of guy ritchie who was the reason why madonna left guy. i bet u r just trying to defend ur father's product of rape which he made for his personal amusement.

@cartoonlove9 Conclusion: you are a troll, over here trying to annoy the crap out of Ritchie fans. In fact, as fast as you're typing, you might be a bipolar person. Hey, you're not a troll. Hi, RDJ, love you in the movie and think you're funny as hell when you do stuff like this. :)
Holmes is not Bruce Lee. He was a master in Boxing but he never used his muscles and physicality to solve cases. He never threw punches, neither did Watson throw punches. In the movie , the two use their physicality more than their brains. They are both running all the time. Mary Morstan was married to Watson in the Sign of Four. Holmes and Watson never grew any complex over this. In the movie Ritchie have needlessly complicated relationship between Holmes,Watson by bringing Mary between them.

The saddest part is those who actually haven't read Holmes stories and still After watching the movie, if anyone reads the stories, he/she will fall from the sky to the ground. Because they will hardly get any link from the movie and eventually will be disappointed. Irene Adler appeared in Scandle in Bohemia and never reappeared again in Holmes life. After watching the film everyone would be confused as how Adler works for Moriarty. The two characters have no connection what so ever canonwise.
