My dad recently baught me a New Haven RDC-3 RTR Powered Combine (hope that's right). My dad said it is elastic powered. It has elastics on all 8 wheels, to make a 8 wheel drive.

If someone can explain that better to me please do. I'm still new to this stuff.

  • thats pretty much it. but it has poor pulling power. i would only suggest putting the RDC with other ones

  • yes it was.. i you get a chance go!

  • Hey there. That's an Athearn Rail Diesel Car. Its got what's called a Hi-F motor (or rubber band drive). The motor has two longs metal rods (i think they're called drive shafts) sticking out to both ends of the car. You put elastics around the axles, and then hook them up onto the drive shafts. The motor turns the drive shafts, which turns the elastics, which turns the wheels. You can get replacement elastics at the dollar store.
