[Sunday, 6:31pm - Daphne's studio apartment]
What is he doing? Why is he leaving?
"Baby, do you have to go tonight? Can't you just stay?" I pleaded.
"Daphne, I have to. I promised Mandy I'd be home for dinner." he said as he got dressed.
I groaned and rolled over onto my stomach. Why does he keep doing this to me? Why won't he just leave her for me?!
"Sorry, hun." he said as he walked around the bed to my side. He sat down right on the edge. "I'll see you tomorrow though. We can have another 'meeting' during lunch." he winked.
I smiled and kissed him one last time on the lips for the day and said "I love you." for the millionth time.
He nodded, and with that, he left me.
I put on my silk robe and went to the bathroom to freshen up.
"Oh my GAHD!" I gaped.
My hair was a total trainwreck! No wonder he didn't wanna stay tonight. As I roughly untangled the mess known as my hair, I called one of my best friends Zoey.
"Hey bitch, what's up?" she greeted.
"Zoe, I'm in serious need of a GNO."
"GNO? Daph, it's Sunday. We all have work tomorrow."
"Zooooeeeeyyy." I whined.
"Ugh, fine! I'll call summer and Aly."
"Thanks babe. Meet at my place at 8. Ciao!"
GNO. Girls' Night Out. On GNO's, the girls and I go out to the hottest clubs in New York City and basically get tipsy. Zoey usually goes off into a room with some guy, my little sister Summer rounds up a group of men to 'dance' with her, and me and Alyson sit at the bar and chit-chat with the bartenders. We don't get TOO drunk because we know that it'll be either one of us driving home.
[Sunday, 8:23pm - Daphne's Bentley]
"So whyyy are we having a GNO on a Sundayyy???" Summer asked.
"Daph said she's 'in serious need' of one" Zoey replied.
"Oh God, Daphne. Please tell me this doesn't have to do with Josh." Aly said.
Shit. She knows me too well. In their eyes, Joshua Foreman is a douchebag. But in mine, he's amazing... no matter what he does. The girls see it as one big scam. They hate him for cheating on his wife, then leaving me right after we have sex. Yeah, I know it sounds horrible. But in the end, I've grown to love him.
"Well, fuck! She's not responding! We all know what THAT means, right guys?" Aly said to the girls in the back seats.
"He left her!" they rejoiced sarcastically.
"Ugh, I hate when you guys do that!" I said.
"Well, we hate that bastard!" Zoey retorted.
I rolled my eyes and kept driving.
We arrived at our favorite sushi restaurant and ate like there was no tomorrow. We ordered a bunch of Spicy Tuna and shrimp cocktails. It was absolutely delicious. Lucky for us, we four are the kind of girls that can eat as much as we want and still not gain weight. Kudos for us!
Next stop: Insomniac nightclub. This is where the 'Who's Who' of New York party. Thanks to our salaries, we made the list.
[Sunday, 10:56pm - Insomniac]
I just ordered our drinks from Jason the bartender, and we already lost Zoey. What could she possible be doing?! She's not even drunk yet!
"Here's you drinks, Daphne."
"Thanks, Jason. And remember what I told you?"
"Daph not Daphne." he said with a smile.
"You got it. See ya!"
I walked off to our booth with the drinks and noticed this unknown somebody flirting with Aly. She would usually brush those kinds of guys away, but for some reason she was flirting back. And oh! She's even turning red! Trust me. It's not just the layers of blush she applied.
"So Aly, who's your new friend?"
