Mad World

READ FIRST PLEASE.

Derek and Casey were having quite a secret relationship for six months that started right after Derek's birthday party that Casey threw for him. He was quite touched that someone who 'hated' him went to those lengths to throw him a surprise party.

But Casey's birthday wasn't as fun. She got sick and died after the surgery. Derek's feelings came out in the hospital as he held her hand and her hand was on his head.

Now at home and at school, he sees her and feels her. It's such a mad world. Taking such a young life, such an unfullfilled life out of Derek's world is devastating.

Also, one note, When Casey falls down the stairs and it's in color you are supposed to pretend that it's not really Casey. You know how I was making Derek see Casey in other people. That would be one of my examples. Then it fades to gray when he remembers how Casey fell on the same stairs.

Grayscale is memories, and it blends the reality that Casey is gone.

Please comment. I've been working on this since last monday and I've made sure I picked each clip with care. Even the ones that I repeated. My aunt died last monday, and I wanted to do a few things to express my grief.

Whoa! This one was really good. I had to watch it a second time because (stupid me) I forgot to read the sidebar. In my "expert opinion" this version is better than your revised version. I would love to see how you did that effect where Casey was in a room and then she disappeared (I have no idea what the effect is called).

Thank you! I actually think that this one is better emotionally while the revision is better aesthetically. Obviously this one will be closer to my heart because of who it was inspired by. The disappearing Casey is a simple fading technique that is actually quite ingenious, but I'd be thrilled to show you. I think I'll come visit you Friday. Sorry I've been so distant the past week and a half. Lol.
