  • hey do you like these bats? do they ever come up when doing raises? theyre the creative industries bats right?

  • Yes, they are CI bats. I like the small square size, they don't take up much space, but they are really for smaller pieces and, yes, they will pull up if you are really giving it a good pull. Even the round CI bats will come up if you are not careful. They are not my favorite bat. I generally like a heavier one, they don't flex when you remove a large pot and they won't pull up as easily.

Good to see that you are still thinking about clay.

  • Yes it is porcelain, called Nara, from Aardvark Clay in LA area. Good stuff, throws well and is pretty white after being fired.

  • that came out really pretty! Hey send me your address and I'll drop some WD40 in the mail LOL

    Great videos, thanks for sharing!!!

  • I know, the wheel is a little squeaky. I put belt dressing on it and it is quiet for a while. I don't hear it any more unless I think about it, I should fix it for the videos though. Thanks for the comments.

  • i hate the round ceative industries bats, i use them and its like a half assed injection mold haha who knew they could do that? but i thought that since these were smaller theyd be a bit more rigid and sturdy, i dont know maybe ill just have to try one out for myself, but yep ive been throwing pretty consistently at home and stuff, keep uploading those videos, i did reruns of all of your videos yesterday haha

  • are you using porcelain? Thanks.

  • Lovely bowl. You make it look so easy.
