This is the final episode of the incredible 3 part series hosted by Brian Cox and Dara O'brien. The aim of it was to bring the Universe closer to our homes.

In this episode,
Brian talks to the astronauts on board the International Space Station,
Mark gives amateur stargazers a chance to watch the Quadrantid Meteor Shower,
Liz looks at the night skies from beautiful Hawaii and shows us some of the telescopes,
Dara goes on top of the Lovell telescope at their HQ in Jodrell Bank Observatory,
The team talk to a European astronaut,
Dara is tipped up to experience what an astronaut does.

Of course, the end features the viewing conditions forecast from the BBC which is not accurate today.

  • I Absolutely loved it, I hope they make more brilliant documentary-style stuff with comedians in them for brilliant banter

  • It's a real shame that this programme doesn't have a regular weekly slot on the bbc, where we humans can check out universal events in a timely manner, but alas, fictional soap operas and mundane drival must take presidence, we're not getting our monies worth out of the licence fee thats for sure. Space aliens........beem me up.........please!!!

  • @cudgiecoocoo lol

  • Did they ever find out what that thing was at 24:28 ?????

  • @doh1959 That mambo jambo is mot true! just stop trying to scare people, it's not nice!

  • @cudgiecoocoo look wiv the greatest of respect dont talk about hours in a cosmic clock

  • not as good as episode 2 in subject but comedians saved it

  • @doh1959 If there is a coronal mass ejection on 21 December 2012 then it wouldn't reach the earth for about 1.5 days after that. So the apocalypse would be on either 22 December or 23 December for us. What did the Maya predict? Is it that the apocalypse would be "born" on 21 December or that it would "happen to us" on 21 December? It's obviously important to know.

  • the purpose of these programmes is to soften up the public for either an alien disclosure or to sort of forwarn the public of the impending disaster when the sun ejects a huge corona mass on 21 dec 2012 which fries the earth in parts due to the earths weakening magnetic field. they might even be ready to reveal what happened at roswell

  • @OliIzzy are you going to put up this years Stargazing Live, if possible, as I don't live in the UK so cant watch them on tv or BBC iplayer. thanks:)
