We took the bus directly from the airport to Tlacotalpan, spent a few days there, and then took another bus to Catemaco. From there we took another bus back to Vera Cruz for Carnival. No issues or concerns about safety.

Very nice vid, I am from Veracruz and my favorite places to visit are Catemaco and Nanciyaga. I am glad you liked it, I hope you could visit other places of Veracruz. I miss it a lot since now I live in Los Angeles but I will be there this December. Go back to Vereacruz you will always be welcome! =]

We loved San Andrés as well and plan to visit again in February 2010.

@roberes34 Thank you. We were also able to visit Vera Cruz during Carnival and absolutely loved it. We look forward to going back again.
