This was my first foray into the broadcasting world with an interview I had with Glen Campbell. (Evidently my last too!) The intent is certainly not to bring any embarrassment to Mr. Campbell regarding the issue of "fallen idols" and secrets of binge drinking. My plan of attack was coming more from a musicians point of view . . . wanting to get as much as I could about his days as a session player in Los Angeles during what I call now, "the golden years."

Incidently, the opening intro track is Bruce Bishop on guitar from his first solo venture called "Real Life." Bruce can be seen in the Hot Pecans video "Flip, Flop, Fly" doing a masterful work on both lead guitar and vocals.

  • Great interview!

  • Glenn Campbell is a national treasure and a really nice guy. I hope that he gets sober long enough before he meets his maker to enjoy the fruits of his amazing accomplishments and realize how much all those who love great music in this world really appreciate what he has done for American Music. Relapse Is PART of recovery, and anyone who has recovered knows that.

  • Awesome-especially the ending.

    AMEN Brother Glen.

  • I don't think many people realize, other than his fans, how talented Glen Campbell is!!!!!! I would love to sit down and talk to him about anything and everything!!!!

  • Well done. Seems like an easy person to interview. Thanks for putting it on.

  • I like how forthright he seems, very humble guy who comes across as real, despite a legendary musical and show-biz past! I would love to hear him talk about the insider details of his many projects thru the years.

  • Great interview. Nice work!

  • I did an interview with Campbell around 2001 by phone prior to an appearance here in Fort Myers. He was at one of his homes out west and to appear a week later at a concert where I introduced him onstage. I was was operating a local radio station then and he was not only an easy interview but one of the best single performers I have ever witnessed and I have seen some of the best.

  • you did a good job m8

  • What a great video . . thanks for sharing! I never get tired of Glen Campbell's voice or his songs . .and he's an amazingly talented guitar player to boot!! No wonder everyone wanted him in on their sessions . .
