I wrote this song for my son, Carmelo, two months after he died in a car accident on 8/7/08. His death propelled me on a new musical journey of love. I wrote about this for Yahoo: http://voices.yahoo.com/i-know-hear-songs-heaven-10868541.html?cat=72
My son was 20 years old and the youngest of my four children. He died when he lost control of the car he was driving and hit a tree. The letter at the end of my video was written by my son on Mother's Day, 2008 (three months before his car accident). I know it is blurry, so here is what he wrote: "Dear Mom, You have always been there for me, through elementary to college. School hasn't been the only aspect of life that you help me in. You teach me how to be a strong person mentally and physically. You are always the first person I try to call when I have a problem. I guess it's just natural because I know I can tell you anything. No matter what the problem you will always make time to help me and give me guidance. I love you more than you know (I just started crying myself!) I want this letter to let you know that I truly appreciate you and everything you have done for me. I know the last few years have been tough for everybody, and I haven't always done the right things. It's just that sometimes I get sidetracked and lose my path. I believe in my heart that you and the family do not think I am a bad person and that you're not all mad at me. In the future, after this whole speal is over, I can't wait to sit down and talk with you. I know that it has been hard for you through the years, too. Well, not to cut this short but I could write for days. I just wanted to let you know that I do LOVE you more than the sky. You have been the best mom a son could ever have. This is your day and I owe this to you. You are truly the greatest friend that I have. If I didn't see you before surgery I don't know if I would have made it. Thank you, Mom. Your favorite and most loving son, Carmelo Jr."

@terriw118 Im so sorry you loss your beautiful son I too lost my son he was five day old. He was born jan 30th 2011 and passed away feb 5th 2011. Yes I know that would be 6 days but i dont count the 6th day because it was so early in the morning.
