@ebf1957 There was Joe Pyne an another talk show host Alan Burke whom had shows from 66'-69'. Donahue gets the credit cause he lasted longer an was more television friendly.

How come Joe isn't mentioned in the lexicon of this style of talk show. Phil Donahue gets the props for being the innovator, but not Joe.
