The Grammys are widely regarded as the LEAST credible of all the awards shows. Just google "Grammy mistakes" to see how bad they have gotten it in the past (Such as the Beatles winning only ONE best album Grammy). Or Led Zepplin not winning best new artist (even though they literally invented Hard Rock). That might explain Mariah's luck at the Grammys. Grammy voters tend to simply love old, faded, white male singers/bands.

@Raanthony86 @delijon Yes, nowadays Grammy awards aren't valuable as they used to be. I always think a real singer must have "the voice", not "the dancing" nor "the dressing". Mariah, Whitney, Celine should have been received more awards. But as someone said, they don't need more awards to prove what they can do =)))

@delijon Because the Grammys only cater to people who sing country, rock, or pop.

Mariah has always had more of a urban sound to her, which the Grammys have always been biased against so it seems.

They will give Taylor Swift every grammy in America, but people like Mariah, Whitney, etc. only have 4-5 grammys. That's balanced.

There has been several times when she has had the best selling albums and best vocal performances through those years and she only has five. Music Box sold around 15mil, Daydream sold @ 25mil, Butterfly @15mil, Emancipation almost 30mil. She should have at least 5 albums of the year. Considering the fact that she has more #1's than anyone, and many were the biggest of those times, she should have more songs, writer and producer of the year.

@Raoulirshan You should see her Performance on SNL singing this song IMO that version is way better than this one so much confidence in it and her voice at there was heaps more powerful but love this version though
