We got a Scottish terror now, any recommendations on how to teach our scottie this?

Hi Desert - we started out by teaching him shake where he brings out his paw and "shakes" you outstretched hand. Once you accomplish this then I give him the "say bye" command and waving my hand. If he doesn't know what to do, I put my hand out which then he will naturally go and shake, but I pull my hand back and then give him the treat. Repetition and consistency is the key and after a while they'll be waving at you in no time =)
