i thought the same thing when i saw that commercial, but i don't blame the writer's / directors (it's pointless to expect morals from ruthless advertisers) ~ i blame the actor & actress playing the roles because they could have refused to be portrayed negatively but they didn't. if i played the role of a ditsy white girl i would have no one but myself to blame when i furthered that stereotype

It's beautiful how nobody mentions that they make it seem like it's just okay and funny for a woman to be abusive to a man? If roles were reversed in this commercial (i.e., man kicking woman), many people would be pissed. I think this is a sexist commercial. Sad.

I'm sorry. I thought the commercial was HILARIOUS! And, yes I'm a black woman. Yes it did perpetuate some black stereotypes, but I know I'm not that type of woman so it didn't phase me. If don't apply, let it fly. To the people who are outraged by this, the commerical must've struck a nerve about who you are. Maybe you're guilty of some of those actions. Yes black people have been victims of racism for a long time, but black people irk me when they use that as a crutch all the time. Damn smh.

@Par5Birdie ok.

@BlkprydeX Oh please.

Is it just black women that are called bitches and whores on BET? Can't on one hand that hip hop only attack black women but then bitch about Hip Hop videos never having black women in it.

now that i watched this i question the super bowl dorrito commercial as well.... the one were the mom has a date over, he sits to eat some dorritos and the baby smacks the guy and says dont touch my mom or my dorritos. It was funny at first, but now im thinking r they really trying to say we as black woman have unconrolable kids, that could just disrespect adults... or that we have so many men/dates our children feel as though their our date monitors or protectors?

This is a little old, but I just wanted to let you know that the black man/woman and the white girl in the commercial made that commercial themselves. So I suppose the black people in the commercial are stereotyping themselves. I think that commercial was funny, I didn't sense any stereotypes. I think ya'll are being really sensitive, or I'm just blind.. not sure.
Really the point I wanted to get out, was it was submitted to a competition by regular people and just happened to get aired.
I think the issue is more about imbalance. Yes, we can take a joke. However, it seems like we are ALWAYS a joke.

@CecilRyuTaekwondo Love the way you worded that. You basically summed up my video in only a few characters.

On B.E.T.(Black Exploitation Television) Black Women are called bitches & whores 24/7 and a TON of unsavory stereotypes are glamorized in the process. So, does THAT concern you as much as this Pepsi ad with an 'Angry' Sister, or do rappers get a pass and should be allowed to disrespect Black Women & other Men ? Hmmm...Love those Stereotypes
